Postal Entry Route Guidelines

FREE POSTAL ENTRY

You can enter eligible Jackpotz Competitions draws without paying for tickets by using our Free Postal Entry route. The only cost to you is the normal cost of preparing and sending your postal entry by ordinary First Class or Second Class post.

The Free Postal Entry route is available as an alternative to purchasing entries online. You do not need to answer a competition question when using this route.

You must have a registered Jackpotz Competitions account before sending your postal entry. The details written on your postcard must match the details held on your account so that we can process your entry correctly.

HOW TO ENTER BY POST

Send your entry on an unenclosed postcard by ordinary First Class or Second Class post to:

Jackpotz Competitions Ltd
29 Aylsham Road
Tadworth
Surrey
KT20 5FS

Hand-delivered entries will not be accepted and will not be entered into the competition.

INFORMATION REQUIRED

Clearly write the following information on your postcard:

  • The full name of the competition you wish to enter
  • Your full name
  • Your Jackpotz Competitions account number
  • Your date of birth
  • Your full postal address
  • Your contact telephone number
  • Your email address
  • Confirmation that you agree to the Jackpotz Competitions Terms & Conditions

The information supplied must match the details registered to your Jackpotz Competitions account.

No competition question or competition answer is required when using the Free Postal Entry route.

POSTAL ENTRY VALUE

Each valid Free Postal Entry will be allocated an entry value equivalent to the current cost of one standard Royal Mail Second Class stamp at the time the postal entry is processed.

The number of ticket entries allocated will depend on the standard online ticket price for the Competition stated on the postcard.

Where the standard ticket price is lower than the value of a Second Class stamp, the Second Class stamp value will be divided by the standard ticket price to determine the number of ticket entries to be allocated.

Where this calculation does not result in a whole number, the number of ticket entries will be rounded up to the next whole entry.

For example, if the current Second Class stamp value is 91p and entries cost 10p each, one valid Free Postal Entry will receive 10 ticket entries.

Each Free Postal Entry must be submitted and posted separately on its own postcard with the correct First Class or Second Class postage.

Multiple Free Postal Entries may be made up to the maximum entry limit stated for the relevant Competition, but each entry must be individually prepared and posted separately.

Bulk entries sent together in one envelope, package or on one postcard will not be accepted as multiple postal entries.

Once a valid postal entry has been received and processed, the applicable number of randomly selected available ticket numbers will be allocated and added to your Jackpotz Competitions account.

MAXIMUM ENTRY LIMITS

Postal entries are subject to the same maximum entry limits that apply to paid entries for the relevant competition.

The maximum entry limit applies to the combined number of paid and Free Postal Entries held by the same entrant or account.

For example, if a competition allows a maximum of 5,000 entries per person, this limit applies across both paid and postal entries combined.

If processing a postal submission would cause an entrant to exceed the stated maximum entry limit, only the number of entries remaining within that entrant’s permitted allowance may be allocated.

WHEN WE RECEIVE YOUR ENTRY

Postal submissions will be processed regularly during the competition period.

Once a valid postal submission has been received and processed, Jackpotz Competitions will allocate the appropriate number of randomly selected available ticket numbers to your account.

For each valid Free Postal Entry, Jackpotz Competitions will allocate the applicable number of randomly selected available ticket numbers based on the current standard Royal Mail Second Class stamp value and the standard ticket price for the relevant Competition.

Your accepted postal ticket entries will be added to your Jackpotz Competitions account.

A postal submission is not treated as entered into the competition until it has been received, accepted, processed and the relevant ticket numbers have been allocated.

SAME CHANCE AS A PAID ENTRY

Valid Free Postal Entries take part in the same competition as paid entries.

Once allocated, a postal ticket number is treated in the same manner as an equivalent ticket number purchased online.

The system used to determine winners must not exclude or treat a valid ticket differently simply because it was obtained through the Free Postal Entry route.

Postal entries are subject to the same published competition rules, entry limits and winner allocation process as equivalent paid entries.

INSTANT WIN COMPETITIONS

The Free Postal Entry route also applies to eligible Instant Win Competitions.

Once a postal ticket number has been allocated and confirmed, that ticket number will take part in the relevant competition.

If an allocated postal ticket number corresponds with a predetermined Instant Win, the postal entrant will be entitled to that win under the same published rules that apply to a paid entrant.

Postal ticket numbers will not be excluded or treated differently from paid ticket numbers when Instant Wins are determined.

POPS, SPINS, TWISTS, REVEALS AND OTHER FEATURES

Some Jackpotz Competitions may include an interactive feature such as a pop, spin, twist, reveal, choice or similar mechanic.

Where this applies, the relevant competition page will explain how a valid postal entrant receives, accesses or takes part in that feature.

The way in which the feature or result is presented to a postal entrant will not change their underlying chance of winning.

POSTAL ENTRY DEADLINES

For a postal submission to be accepted, it must be received and processed before the closing date and time shown for the relevant competition.

It must also be received before all available tickets for that competition have been allocated.

Posting an entry before the closing date or time does not guarantee that it will arrive or be processed before the competition closes.

Entrants should therefore allow sufficient time for their postal submission to arrive and be processed.

Proof of posting does not constitute proof of receipt and does not guarantee entry into the competition.

SOLD OUT COMPETITIONS

If the maximum number of available entries for a competition has been reached before a postal submission is received and processed, we will be unable to allocate ticket numbers to that postal submission.

Sending or posting a postcard does not reserve ticket numbers within a competition.

If a competition sells out before your postal submission is received and processed, your postal submission cannot be entered into that competition.

ACCOUNT REQUIREMENT

To use the Free Postal Entry route, you must have created a Jackpotz Competitions account on our website or app.

The name, address, email address and other identifying information supplied on the postal submission must match the information registered to your account.

If we cannot identify or match your postal submission to your registered account, the entry may be rejected.

INVALID POSTAL ENTRIES

A postal submission may be rejected if it:

  • Arrives after the competition closing date and time
  • Arrives after all available entries have been allocated
  • Does not contain all required information
  • Is incomplete
  • Is illegible
  • Contains details that do not match a registered Jackpotz Competitions account
  • Has incorrect or insufficient postage
  • Is hand delivered
  • Is sent to the wrong postal address
  • Does not clearly identify the competition being entered
  • Is included as part of a bulk postal submission rather than being posted separately
  • Would cause the entrant to exceed the maximum permitted number of entries for that competition
  • Does not comply with the relevant Competition Rules or Jackpotz Competitions Terms & Conditions
  • Is considered part of an attempt to manipulate or unfairly influence a competition or draw

IMPORTANT

The Free Postal Entry route provides an alternative method of entering eligible Jackpotz Competitions without purchasing tickets online.

Each valid and separately posted Free Postal Entry will receive an entry value equivalent to the current cost of one standard Royal Mail Second Class stamp, subject to the standard ticket price and maximum entry limit for the relevant Competition.

Free Postal Entries and paid entries participate in the same competition and are subject to the same published competition rules, entry limits and winner allocation process.

No competition question is required when entering through the Free Postal Entry route.
